How hard can it be to get a decent coffee in Falkirk?

Well, how hard can it be to get a decent coffee in Falkirk?

Harder than you’d think. Here's what we've got so far....

Coffee Consortium (Manor Street & Kirk Wynd)

Order a large skinny cappuccino and get a seat at the Staring Window for a spot of people watching, which can distract from the weak, burnt tasting beverage. Despite this we have a strange liking for this place. It must be the view.....

Antonio’s (Grahams Road)

The little sister of the Italian restaurant next door with a bustling atmosphere and great selection of pastries and sandwiches. It’s Italian, the coffee’s got to be good, right? WRONG. Frothy milk with a hint of coffee so slight that you feel it must be a mistake. This is a very poor effort after raising our expectations. Shame on you Antonio (whoever you are). We’ll be back, but not for the coffee.

Comma (Lint Riggs)

Recently changed ownership has brought a change in décor and atmosphere. Soft furnishings and improved lighting makes it all a much more attractive prospect than before, so we will be back, that’s for sure. Okay, it’s a bar. So what? We ordered coffee.. it was good. That’s another reason to come back. So should you, just remember to take an airhorn to attract the bar staff.
